Freshly baked scones


400g Self-Raising Flour
100g Butter
100g Caster Sugar
1 Egg
½ tsp. Baking Powder
60g Sultanas
180ml Buttermilk


1. Sieve baking powder and rub butter into flour and sugar.
2. Add sultanas.
3. Add eggs.
4. In mixer add enough buttermilk to bring the mix together.
5. Tip onto floured work surface.
6. Roll out to 2cm thickness and cut out.
7. Place on baking tray. Spray with water and sprinkle with brown sugar.
7. Bake at 150°C/300°F for 20-25 minutes.
